Can't find something bigger

I typically have issues sleeping quite hot at night and I saw this

LED Fan Ceiling Light, 3 Speeds Remote Modern Bedroom Fan Ceiling Light Fan Reversible Quiet Dimmable Ceiling Fan Light Dimmable Fan Light for Living Room, Bedroom, Kid's Room (Black, 50cm) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093FLJHSK/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_A68J6DJHBTWXVFC9TNJK?psc=1

That looks quite nice but I can't see any 42 inch equivalent that looks as nice and does the same job

I also want to have ceiling fan LEDs in every room tbf that are also reversible

    Indeed.
But are the LEDs replaceable when they fail (when, not if) ?
Could get very expensive if you have to replace the whole unit each time the light packs up.

Tbh that's my other issue with modern lights in general - A lot of modern lights are made in a way where you can't replace the lights so easily, so I've thought "Well at least this way I can have some comfort by having a fan on and it reverses too so it's good in the winter"

I don't understand the point of it being reversible.

Also, replacing a light fitting that costs a tenner is one thing. Replacing a £150 unit is another.

If you believe the marketing in summer you have it spinning so its pulling up the cooler floor air and in winter you reverse the direction so its pushing down the warmer air at the ceiling

OP, we bought a Meaco MeacoFan 1056  - circulates in multiple directions. Made a massive difference compared to a normal circulating fan, and it isn't permanently installed. I've had one house with a ceiling mounted fan. Tbf, it was old when we lived there, but it wasn't much use. or much used.
  • even though its costly , it will give you peace of mind for significantly longer period.

The key thing is it wont make you any cooler. its just blowing the same warm air at you, you might as well buy a £15 pedestal fan.

If its an ongoing thing, get a proper air con unit fitted, or get a portable one and vent externally.

Air-con units are darned expensive to run. Neighbour uses one every summer, and peeked at her electricity usage. At 10,000KWh per year, it is not something I'd be willing to pay for.

10,000KWh in UK or in tropics?
