Sainsburys Energy Direct Debit

Just noticed that Sainsburys failed to collect my monthly direct debit on 1st March. No communication issued by Sainsburys. After challenging this with Sainsburys I was advise that their DD run failed and that will not be run this month. Next DD run will April. Was told to make a manual payment for this month. Please be aware if this and check your payment for this month.

Same happened with Eon Next for some (me inc)

My DD goes out on 10th, do we have any idea of this issue affects all march payments or just those at the beginning of the month?

Wonder if this was because they would have submitted the DD request on the 29th of the month to take it on the 1st, and obviously in February there wasn't one!

Will keep an eye on this. Mine is not due off till 27th. Typical that i've just only yesterday asked for my increasing credit balance as we're using less due to circs changing with no kids at home during the day at all now. If they don't credit i'll just leave it there as it's more than a months D/D anyway and leave it at that.

Eon Next and Sainsburys are the same oufit, platform etc are they

Mine went out 1st March with no issue
