Waiting to exchange

Hi we’re waiting for paperwork to complete & moving date but my husband is feeling anxious about work that needs doing around the house- some small hairlines in wall, fences slightly leaning outwards, gutters needing cleaning.
We’ve booked someone to clean gutters & he’s planning to try to fix the fence soon too.

What do people think about this?
Our buyers have not arranged a survey & sale of our house is complete.

For your house that you are selling?
I wouldn't do anything to improve it as long as it's as it was when they viewed it.

They might move in and tear the fence down or replaster the walls. Could be a waste of time and money

Surely this was all visible before your buyers made their offer?
I wouldn't bother doing any of it.

Nope, the buyers bought the house as they saw it. They probably plan on doing lots of jobs when they move in. I’m sure they’ll appreciate you cleaning the gutters nothing else though.

I think your husband is going to get a rude awakening when you move into your onward purchase!
