Hi, has anyone been asked to pay a fuel surcharge against a Jet2 holiday. I understand ther are applying a surcharge on flight only deals but dont know regarding package holidays but I think the answer is obviously yes. The T&C are not clear if I can claim a full refund or if my only option is to cancel and hence lose my deposits?

I wasn’t aware that Jet2 have asked any existing passengers to pay a fuel surcharge. Where have you found this information?
This is another time that by booking a package holiday can help. If surcharges become necessary then the tour operator is obliged to absorb a certain amount before coming to ask for more money from the passenger (in the case of Jet2 Holidays 2% of the holiday cost). If the addition is over another threshold (8% for Jet2 Holidays) then the passengers have certain rights to change, amend or cancel. Have a look over section 3 of their booking conditions.
Airlines will for this season at least, have hedged a certain amount of fuel. Whilst costs of flights to new customers may well increase, hopefully existing bookers will be okay and costs covered or absorbed by the operator.0
