Instead of opening up yet more cards (whatever happened to you "won't open a new card until 2023" post just 3 weeks ago?) why not actually focus on dealing with your massive debt problem before it inevitably results in your next DRO? Your credit card utilisation is irrelevant when you have all that other debt e.g. car finance on a used 2015 Zoe (I bet that's not 0%), 2.8k to replace a front door, windows on 10% finance, paying interest on cards you can't pay back in full as your spending doesn't match your income? Have you told any of them about your reduced (50%) income and your benefits problems? 8k credit limit on RBS sounds highly likely you didn't tell them your salary is 9k

Switch from ICE to EV vehicle has made Petrol station's redundant, which looses a card or two.

Looking forward to using rbs for groceries.

    thanks
Don't forget that while you are not having to fill up with fuel. You are still having to charge battery on car. So you are now paying more on your electric bill.

Recent post on a EV forum from a long time EV owner...

They will, eventually raise the cost until it is similar, per mile, to an ICE car. A litre of petrol is approximately £1.50 at present and that equates (at 10m pl for an average car) at 15p a mile; 50p a kw and about 4m pkw is about 12.5p a mile. So we are getting there. Providers will keep pushing up the prices until they get ‘equality

Seems that unless you are still on one of the cheap fixed term contracts (which will end soon) then you get hit by a big price rise. Seems EV's are not the cheap as chips to run, now that prices are rising fast.

    thanks mser's
Whilst I appreciate EV Charging costs could be on the horizon.
No yet unless I mention 10 pounds card.
Any other 'made up massive problems' are either wrong or referring to historical redundancy and 13k since paid debt plan.

My latest way forward, makes credit decision's much simpler.

    thanks

    3850 total limits gone.
    Reduced available down to 19.2k.
Let's see if rbs send 8k rewards if successful 27.2k, if not I'll Manage existing very carefully similar to 2021.

    thanks

    @FeaturelessVoid

Mentioned debt plan should answer your 13k lack of knowledge.

Meanwhile rbs have withdrawn 3rd card offer 8k,so 19.2 total limit's it is then.

    thanks

Decided to combine both rbs limits onto lowest 9% apr card, transfers from 7% approx.
Think I'll continue to reduce cards during 2022.

I now have one rbs 9% apr 8.1k limit.
Maybe I could request increase of recently shared limit card which carries soon to be cleared 'oled' though 21% approx.
Found it funny that increase to 6k prompt has re appeared for this card which I intended to close from mid April.
