CCJ coming off report

Options
Sorry if this is a silly question, I’ve tried searching but can’t find the answer.

If a CCJ is coming off my credit file in April, does that mean it won’t show on there from 1st April? Or will it be on there for April and not show from 1st May?
Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳

It'll come off 6 years from being put on. That's unlikely to be exactly the 1st of the month.

Oh darn it, I haven’t seen a date, only April. I’m trying to figure out if I can wait that long to apply for my mortgage 😅

It will give a date it was entered on the credit reference reports.

Mine came off a bit before the 6 years was up.

Remember some lenders ask if you have ever had a CCJ, others ask if you have one. Read the question and criteria carefully.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Ah so it might not actually make much difference to the mortgage application then?

It depends on who you're applying to.

Hopefully you're using a decent broker who will place your application with the right lender. You'll want one who understands adverse credit.

Thank you, that’s good advice, I’ve been contemplating not using a broker but you’re right, I should definitely do that!

I just checked the MSE credit club to see if I could find a date -

    Court data

There are no County Court Judgments (CCJs) or bankruptcies on your Experian Credit Report.

Does this mean it's gone?!? 😮

Make sure you check all three credit reports....
  • CCJ expiry should be picked up by all 3 lenders together, but they may be slow updating their systems so I'd check all 3 (Credit Karma and Clear Score as well as Experian)
