Has anyone used any of the "we buy any house" type companies and, if you have, how was your experience?

We have clients who used them (two separate companies). Both similar MO: initially priced at approx 70% of EA higher valuation using ‘algorithms’ then when actually coming to see the property chip that down (I think one ended up closer to 50% of what the EA thought possible). The client who did sell to one of these companies did say once signed the money was with them within 72 hours and they did have a good amount of time to leave the house (as in months not weeks). But generally it seems to start low abs keep going lower, you won’t get close to market value here by doing it
  • Thanks, this is helpful. i had my doubts but still good to hear from those who have had experience.

    Never recomended on here.
You'll get a better price by either advertising lower with a standard EA or putting it in an auction if a quick sale is needed.
  • Thanks. Luckily, we don't need a quick sale so will wait. Just interested, and people have confirmed what i felt i already knew.
