I'm posting this on behalf of my sister. She's got herself into a bit of a pickle.
She has 2 jobs, both part time. 1 in a college library and the other is a school cleaner.
Just before Xmas, she was involved in an rtc and damaged her knee.
She can still do her office job, with limited mobility, however she's been on the sick from her cleaning job since 4th January.
She's been receiving pay from her cleaning job, and has just received a notification that she's going onto half pay, and not entitled to ssp cos of low earnings.
I suggested that she put a claim in for UC, but she's now panicking that they'll know she's been getting wages from doing her college job.
I'm not much use in this situation but I do want to help her as much as I can.
Any advice is gratefully received. Thank you

The DWP will know about income from both jobs, but why should it matter? The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Who's "they"? Her cleaning job employer or DWP?
Its not illegal to have 2 jobs so DWP won't care - they will simply use total income in the assessment
Its implausible that a part time cleaning job could have a "can't have a second job" clause in it, so they don't care if she has been.0 -
Thank you. She said that it's cos she's been working 1 job and off sick from the other. Is that likely to be a problem? She's really anxious right now0
