Fixed Rate Deal

I opted to fix (3yr fixed until Sept24) back in October 2021 which put my duel fuel bill up by £67pm. Elec unit rate is 20.05p with daily standing charge 24.87p. Gas unit rate 3.951p with daily standing charge 26.12p. I thought I might have dine the wrong thing at that time. However, have I been wise to fix at that time given the increases expected this Apr and again come October? Just not sure if I did the right thing? 🤔

I got an Electric (EDF) at about the same time; thought I was on a Gas winner with Zog on a long fix then they went to the wallNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Thanks Shedman, when I fixed, I didn’t realise Martin Lewis had advised against fixing at that time so I just accepted it as an error on my part but given the price hikes I’m hearing now I’m wondering if I’ve actually done the right thing (pure luck to be honest) 👍0
