I am a disabled mum with a autistic 16 year old who is into RuPaul’s Drag Race - while in chats online she is getting sent Amazon vouchers to sort out a Cameo video or something from what my daughter said it’s to get a queen to do a shout out, I’m just asking if you could check this out for me please.

I watch Drag Race UK, US, Canada and Australia.Never heard anything like this?I know some queens do podcasts etc but never ever heard of them sending Amazon vouchers to get shout outs.1

Possibly a fishing exercise to gather your data and then you will get scam calls claiming that someone used your
Amazon account to buy expensive phones?
Unsure what you mean by sort a cameo video? You pay them in vouchers for a personalised cameo video? Or they are
offering vouchers to advertise or upvote their videos?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
What's the relevance of this statement?Topfan1 said:I am a disabled mum
If you cannot say why the vouchers are being sent it is a little difficult to say for anyone else to speculate if there is an issue or not.Topfan1 said:she is getting sent Amazon vouchers to sort out a Cameo video or something2 -
Does anyone know what this Cameo is and if it’s safe and genuine - apparently I got the Amazon vouchers mixed up with something else my mistake sorry.0

Cameo (website https://www.cameo.com/ ) is a legit video-sharing website. Makes it's money selling personalised celeb greetings to fans (says Wikipedia).2

Cameo's legit but random people on internet chat sites (pos claiming to be famous/Drag Race contestants) asking for amazon gift cards are probably scammers unconnected to Cameo.flaneurs_lobster said:Cameo (website https://www.cameo.com/ ) is a legit video-sharing website. Just looked on Cameo and some Ru Paul Drag Race contestants are on there, but to get a personalised video from them (or anyone else on the site) you pay them money via the site - not amazon vouchers.
Could be some kind of 'influencer' thing (if not entirely a scam) - paying your daughter vouchers in return for 'promoting'/spamming selected Cameo profiles around the web/social media."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -
This is an example of a scammer pretending to be celebrity
