Smart meter malfunction
On Tuesday 1st March at 7.00pm approximately my storage heaters became very hot i checked the remote display and it was registering 4.88Kw so i turned down the thermostats on the storage heaters and the reading dropped below 1Kw, so it seems the smart meter had switched in the economy 7 mode but charging me the day tariff.
I reported this to EDF but they couldn't come up with an explanation. I believe this happened on a number of days before i took any notice of the problem, but since i reported it it hasn't happened again. Has anyone else experienced this problem.

How many cables are there at the meter - 4 or 5. ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

(assuming your E7 circuit is being switched by the ALCS build into the meter). You should be able to see this on your account as long as you have half-hour data enabled.
