Moving house - switch or stick?
I am shortly moving to a new house in south west London - I have been living with family for a couple of months whilst waiting for the new house and I currently am not signed up to any energy provider.
I’m obviously concerned about the price hikes and so wondering what I should do when I move in? Should I stick with the existing provider (E-On for gas and electricity) or are other providers better value?

Are there any decent fixed rates for new customers?

You need to register with E.On at the new house and send them the opening meter readings on the day you take possession along with your DD details. You can then switch to any better deals you can find. Don't be pressurised into accepting any E.On fixed deal, stay on their SVT unless it makes sense to switch.0

Stick with Eon and its SVT ( resit any pressure to fix) - sit back and see what happens.............and I currently am not signed up to any energy provider..........Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Forgive my ignorance but should I stick with the tariff that the previous occupants were on or just ask to go on the E-on standard tariff?0

You don't inherit anything from the previous occupier apart from the supplier - you start from scratch with the SVT from EONNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Thanks and understood - I’ll stick with E-on standard rate and hope for the best!0
