I have a B A Amex card ,i paid for our up coming holiday on it and payment of the balance is due in a couple of weeks ,whilst we have sufficient funds in the bank to pay this in full ( i could pay the minimum but do not want to pay interest ) i was thinking of getting a zero fee /zero interest balance transfer card and transferring the total over and paying it off over 3 months ,this would help with cashflow till the next tax year starts and can access my pension pot tax free keeping a healthy balance in the bank account for emergencies etc.
Does anybody know which cards accept transfers from BA Amex as i know not all do. ( Sainsburys bank does not )

If you have the cash, I'd just pay it - any transfer will incur a fee, so it will cost you money overall (that's assuming you get accepted for a card)1

It is possible to get a Zero fee as well as a Zero interest Balance Transfer card so no added costs but which one is the problem.Emmia said:If you have the cash, I'd just pay it - any transfer will incur a fee, so it will cost you money overall (that's assuming you get accepted for a card)0 -
What do eligibility calculators tell you? They're imperfect but might give you a guide on who / practicality of this...Ganga said:

Checked on the MSE site and told would be accepted by many BUT when i got the Sainsbuys Bank Transfer Card even after telling them i wanted to transfer from the Amex card it would not go thru ,Amex only has 15 numbers on the front so site said " not recognized " spoke to bank ,Oh we do not transfer from that card ! ,waste of time so looking for a card that will accept transfers.Emmia said:

I've transferred to Barclaycard from AmEx without issues.1

I have transferred from Amex to the Santander card, and also to a Nationwide credit card. In both cases there were no fees whatsoever.
