Refund after successful Sec 75 claim.

I recently had a refund from my CC after 2 years if going through a protracted claim with the supplier.
The FOC found in my favour and the CC has paid.
After literally months of no useful contact with the supplier, things have started moving... possibly...all within the same week.
What should I do now?

Let the retailer know that you've already had the refund.1

Not the bank? The reason for my dilemma is that the bank have behaved much better than the retailer, if anything I'd rather get the refund from the retailer and return the money to the bank.Deleted_User said:Let the retailer know that you've already had the refund.1 -
S75 has nothing to do with the retailer.
If you get a refund from retailer, then you need to tell CC and they will take their refund back. You can't keep both.

Financial Ombudsman Service (my bad, I thought it was 'Commission'). I'd like to go with your suggestion i.e. if I eventually get a refund from the retailer, then tell the CC company and send the money back, as it was the retailer that was the real pain in the procedings, even though the CC initially turned down my S75 claim.born_again said:S75 has nothing to do with the retailer.

I suppose I just leave it and tell the retailer as ZX81 said, after all, I've had a refund, so it's up to the CC company if they want to chase the retailer.
I know I should be thinking that it does not really matter where the money comes from as long as I've had a (one) refund.0 -
I would wait until / if you get a second refund from the retailer and it is safely in your bank account or wherever. It may never happen !
At that point tell the CC company and offer to return their S75 payment2 -
True, they've messed me around for ages now, so even if they do send out a payment, it could take weeks/months.cx6 said:I would wait until / if you get a second refund from the retailer and it is safely in your bank account or wherever. It may never happen !

CC won't chase retailer. It's not cost effective.
Wait for retailer to refund (if they ever do), then let CC know & they will then take theirs back 👍Life in the slow lane1
