Flex or fix? (EON)

I have to decide soon. I am currently on v4 fixed:

Electricity

Next Online v4

Fixed term ends 31/03/2022

17.81 p/kWh 19.46 p/day

Gas

Next Online v4

Fixed term ends 31/03/2022

3.17 p/kWh 21.67 p/day

They emailed these two options, but would appreciate thoughts before ringing them or renewing online:

How long ago did you get the email? I think Necxt Online V10 has gone, and V11, with the current version being V12?

If you can still get V10, you should probably take it.

V10 was a good deal but is unlikely to be available to you today (please check, you might be lucky).

V11 was the same rates as the April cap but fixed for 12 months, so still a good deal.

V12 is more expensive than the April cap but might be worth taking if you want a guaranteed rate for next winter.

What confuses me is the V10 is £700 more expensive then the Flex? Why should I take up the dearest offer?

V11 is technically gone - you won't find it on their website and when you call, a recorded message tells you it's gone.

I waited on the phone for a full hour waiting to speak to someone and after checking with a supervisor she put me on V11.

You may be lucky if you call today but I got the impression they won't be honouring it for long.

Next Flex is increasing in April. your annual electricity bill will increase by about £300 and gas by about £600.

V10 will then be £200/yr cheaper.
