Newbie seeks advice

I am currently looking to take a case to the Small Claims Court. I agreed to mediation but the defendant has refused so I’m not sure what, if anything, I need to do now. Will the court contact me with a hearing date or do I have to contact them myself? Any advice greatly appreciated as I’m very nervous about all this unfamiliar legal stuff

Have you initiated a claim?

Thanks, I’ve read the advice on line, which gives a lot of useful information, but can’t find anything as regards procedure if one party refuses mediation. I have made a claim but am stuck on the next step. I think I have to wait for the court to get in touch but am worried this will all fall through if I’ve got it wrong.0
