Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark,- rain forecast every day this week - it's damp underfoot - rain forecast later.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and beans. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having but will organise something.
Last working day of the week, unless I get asked/told I'm needed to work. I'm half expecting that and as I have no plans for the weekend, I would rather work at a time that suits me.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. I hope that work is OK for you today.Yesterday I got two loads of washing on the line, despite the wind it was far too cold to dry much though just having things outside was good. After three hours I brought it all in and hung the small on the airier with towels draped over the railings upstairs.Today I'm heading down to Glasgow later, I've got a list of things to do when there - collect things, drop off things, banking, odds and sods of tasks which I've been saving up.Hugs to our poorlies, good to see Maddie again. 😀
Happy Thursday to all.15 -
Morning all
Dry here for now which is nice after all the rain we have had.
Off to work today and its my three young lads today which is always good fun but exhausting, two with ADHD and autisim and one with an aquired brain injury - never a dull moment !
I had a sudden thought last night in bed, and discovered I have no MOT opps better get onto it today and get one booked ASAP, would hate to be pulled over for not having one.
Pizza for dinner tonight with some salad so thats nice and easy. DW to be emptied this morning and a wash to go on.
Marie hope you are ok ? not seen you for a while xxx
Have good days all xx15 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Safe journey to Glasgow GERS.
As usual I have News 24 on despite my intentions to reduce my news watching. Like MADDIE the only help I could give was an increased donation to the Red Cross. I wish it could have been for more.
We had a good if drizzly bus day out yesterday and ended up in Skipton for a change as it's a while since we were there. The market was a very reduced one, not many stalls set up in the miserable weather. And who could blame them. We spent more time over wining 'n dining and no prizes for guessing what our main topic of conversation was.
Today I will be doing a few jobs brought forward from the Friday Tidy as I think I will be out most of tomorrow. And later on I have the two youngest DGDs here for tea and sleepover. For no other reason than they say theymiss staying over withy me as much as they did pre-Covid. Aw bless! DD will pick them up for school in the morning. Eldest DGD had her first driving lesson yesterday. How did she leave childhood behind so quickly!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the thread nmlc. Hope work is okay today and you don’t get asked to work this weekend.
A dry, bright day so will get some washing on the line. Got a load dried indoors yesterday but much prefer it to have a blow on the line if possible. Will get out for a walk at lunchtime too.
We saw Cyranno at the cinema last night. I warned DH that there was singing – there was actually more than I realised, but the songs and the choreography were amazing. We both really enjoyed it. We are going to see The Duke tonight. We are lucky in that the cinema is only a 10 minute walk away.
Dinner will be LO bolognaise from the freezer as only two of us eating tonight.
Enjoy your jaunt to Glasgow Gers.
Hope Mr F’s leg is okay Florence.
Dp1 – take it easy
Fingers crossed for the return of your car taff
Have a good day everyone particularly the poorlies and those with life worries.

Good morning
Rain again today, roll on spring.
The situation in Ukraine is really heartbreaking, I've donated to Care International and have some clothes and things to donate but st the moment the collection centres are full. I just wish I could do more.
No plans today, may go for a walk if it stops raining. Pancakes for tea tonight as we didn't get round to making them on Tuesday.
Have as good a day as you can 🌻15 -
Morning all, quick one from me as I'm heading into town in half an hour. I shall go on the market and get some veg from the man who usually delivers my veg box, except the box is too much every week, as the others aren't great veg eaters
. I got let down by MrT delivery yesterday - I think one of the trays got mislaid somehow as there over a dozen things missing :/Suddenly started realising that things were missing when I put it all away - that and thinking there wasn't much there for the cost & had prices really shot up like that!
Our town has a Ukranian community and donations/clothes etc. have been pouring in.DGS called on his way to school with DS, dressed in PJs, for World book day. I think the school has decided on this so parents aren't splashing out on fancy dress costumes.Right better get ready, have the best day you can xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning, hugs if you need one. Its a dull morning and rain is due later, it did rain all day yesterday, thankfully not torrential.
The situation in Ukraine is awful, Putin is another pocket Hitler, but really all we can do is to support those poor people as best we can. No way do we need to wade in, I know that things would be really dire if we did.
So yesterday I started by cleaning my machine and packing it in the bags ready to go to Sheffield. I have sold 6 thread boxes which are being collected at the retreat, so need a bag for them. Must remember to take the two thread stands with me.
I also managed to watch a video last night with the new machine on, very interesting, I need to look for more. I also down loaded the instruction book, as its sometimes easier to read about what you want to do, rather than just fiddle around. I have to admit I was pretty impressed and so was DB.
DB is going to sort out the shed this morning, if it rains all day tomorrow, I doubt the gardener will come. We will have to wait and see.
So supper tonight will be frittata and salad, we have finished all the desserts up so will probably just have fresh fruit.11 -
Just sent a donation to the Red Cross towards their appeal, seeing those little children and their faces being turned upside down because of war is so sad.
Here in the Garden of England its a beautiful spring day and I've just hung out a small line of washing for a blow.
I am going to my local park to see the baby ducklings on the lake again today. There is something so restful about just sitting there watching their Mum swimming around looking after her babies. A stroll around the lake in the sun is so nice after the grey days we have had recently.
Hope everyone is safe and well

Another grey and damp morning, yesterday was chilly, damp and plain miserable.
One of those "firsts" today DM would be 89, her name is Iris and I hoped to buy some flowers or a pot of those cute weeny ones, but no luck in my little town so far, one more place to try today, I do, however, have some flowering brightly in a container at the end of the drive.
Knit and Natter today, great bunch of talented, funny, caring girls (girls of all ages). Yesterday spoke to my best friend, we celebrate our 50th Anniversary of being friends this October, arranged to meet next Tuesday, it's about 30 miles round trip so hopefully will help me feel more comfortable driving the new to us car.
Hugs and spoons take care all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11
