Received "refund" from Barclays - confused.

I received a refund credit into my Barclays current account on 28th Feb for around £80. It's listed as a Barclays UK refund and I'm confused as to what it is for.
I've had a few Barclaycard credit cards in the past, over 15 years ago but they have been giving refunds from Barclaycard themselves, as mentioned on this forum as well.
I've never had a Blue Rewards current account, which is the only other thing that Barclays have been giving refunds for, got this from google.
Spoke to their chat support yesterday via the app but all they could say was I would receive an email about it in ten days. I can't be the only one.

Just wait a few days and see whether a letter turns up to explain it. In the old days a cheque would arrive with the letter but these days the money tends to arrive first.1

Don’t spend it until you find out what it is for, I heard from someone last weekend that there is a new PPL type of payback that the banks are tying to keep quiet as the proverbial poo is about to hit the Fan, something to do with unauthorised Direct Debit fees.0
