could you let me know what service to use. i had a case of selling something on ebay 3 months ago and the buyer said it never arrived. Hadnt sent it recorded but had proof of postage with weight and his adress. paypal decided he was right and took the money out my account. will now never send anything unless it can be tracked.

Signed proof of delivery is required not proof of postage, so a COP is not enough.

However, the COP would have been enough for you to reclaim your costs from the PO to enable you to repay the buyer without then having to go through the chargeback process.

....... That is of course assuming that costs, (being the total value of the goods etc), amount to £28 or less. :)

You are of course correct, and having been caught out just after the hike, I should have remembered. :)
