    Well, we took professional advice with ours. But, I will say, the bits we have left are outside, not in - maybe that's the difference?

    This touches on a point made earlier in the thread by Niv, and illustrated by HampshireH's previous post. There are different types of asbestos, used in different materials, in different circumstances.  What applies in one case doesn't necessarily apply in another one.  Likewise, the particular circumstances determine the method of management/removal, and unavoidably on the cost of dealing with it.
