Kiwi.com should I accept vouchers

I booked several flights for my honeymoon in Feb 2020. We couldn't go due to covid 19 and have been trying to get a refund from kiwi.com of £1200 ever since. Credit card charge back and travel insurance were no help. I have now been offered £980 in credit vouchers from kiwi.com or I can wait for the airlines to process the refund. (Kiwi have always claimed that they have not had money back from the airlines).

I would hold out for refund.

Kiwi provided the tickets for which CC payment was made. There is no 'direct link' between the CC and the airlines that failed to provide the service for which payment was made.

Did Kiwi explain how they calculated the voucher amount? Did you ask the airlines directly whether they had made refunds to Kiwi?
It is very unusual for a travel agent to offer anything before receiving a refund from the airlines. Of course, if Kiwi did receive a refund but then failed to pass it on to you, you would then have a valid reason for your credit card provider to reclaim the money for you.

Thanks for the input. Some of the flights went, most did not. We planned to visit Greece, Italy and Belgium.....clearly impossible in summer of 2020. The credit card provider did indeed say that there was no link between them and the airlines. I tried to contact one of the airlines direct but got no response. I strongly suspect that kiwi had the refunds but failed to pass them on.
Based on my experience (and what I've since read about kiwi) I would prefer my money back, but they are saying this will take longer and I could get less.0 -
I would expect nothing back for any separately ticketed flights that operated (except maybe voucher depending on the airline policy)
For the flights the airline cancelled, I would have expected they would have been refunded on request long ago.
You should be able to work out what might be refunded once deducting kiwi's fees from the cancelled flight(s) refunds.
What airlines were involved?0 -
I had a similar issue with flights booked through a third party. I make a complaint to CC provider and eventually got a refund."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Did you book the tickets for Feb 2020 or during Feb 2020, and if it was the latter, when did you book it for?0
