New house, driveway issue.

Hi all - the answer may be obvious for this but thought I would see if anyone has had a similar issue.
I've just bought a house, it's around 18 months old so Barratt are still developing on the site so the roads/paths haven't been tarmac'd yet. The driveway is quite steap so this means there is a ridge between the path and the drive, so my car is scaping when I pull onto the drive.
The estate hasn't been handed over to the management company yet, could I speak with the sales office on site to see if the builders can put some tarmac at the top so the ridge isn't there?
Thanks in advance.
