Do i Cancel my Building Survey??

Hi All.
I have posted on here regarding a house purchase i am currently attempting. That was a rant but this is a question. Long story short the sellers were with an awful conveyancers. We orignally had our survey booked but cancelled it (4 days before it was due to take place) after our Solicitor still had not received the contract pack after 2 months of waiting and repeated failed deadlines. The sellers have now changed to a local Solicitor who we do have a bit more faith in so we re-booked our Survey. Now nearly 4 weeks later we still don't have the survey pack. I totally understand that there could well be a lot of work trying to extricate the documents from the previous conveyancer but we did expect it earlier than this.
My question is do you think we should postpone the Building Survey again until we have the Contract Pack? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Ye.I suspect he problem is not the solicitors, but the sellers. For whatever reason (you'll never know), they are delaying.Put your own conveyancer on hold, cancel your survey, and start looking at other properties. If things start moving later, fine, you can kick-start this purchase. If you find somewhere else in the meantime, then buy that.0

I don't believe anyone is consciously trying to screw us but i don't really want to pay out £875 for a survey when we haven't yet received anything at all and have no visibility of if the sale is legit. On the other hand i have already cancelled it once, the sellers have committed to a quicker solicitor after it became apparent the previous conveyancers weren't getting anywhere and i don't want to appear uncommitted and jepordise the sale.
The reality is in 6 months of actively looking this house is the only one thats come up in our budget in our area. In addition it seems that prices have risen 20-30k since we had our offer accepted and we would be unable to afford a similar house now (we sold our house 6 months ago so no ruplift from that).0
