E-on going Backwards caused by their fixation on Next

This is a vent more than anything else.
Working from home the E-on chat system has been brilliant at getting things sorted, sadly no more. Their fixation on the switch to E-on Next is taking them backwards.
I used to be able to organise replacement keys for pre-pay meters and get the debts cleared all on line, which meant I could carry on with other work in the interim. My work phone is an ancient Nokia with a poor signal, making phone calls involving waits very uncomfortable or not an efficient use of my time.
E-on Next do have a reasonable e-mail system, just a pity they could not do this for E-on as well. Instead there is this chasm of difference between the two and one will not/cannot speak to the other.

Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits
