Igloo Energy to EON Next Price Crazy! Any help
Hi,
I used to be with Igloo Energy and got moved to EON Next and I can't get my head around why it's so expensive before the new cap was announced and it's even worse now.
I used to pay about £150 a month for both with Igloo, then it went up to £300 plus and now over £400. Is it worth trying to find a better deal even though Martin said not to?

Thanks in advance

Remember that these are estimated costs - what really determines what you will be is taking the unit rate and standing charges on these tariffs and applying your actual usage to them.

E.ON Next are still losing money on the energy they sell to you at the moment. From April, E.ON Next will be allowed to charge you a price that's closer to the cost of the energy, plus you (& me, & everyone else) will be paying an additional bit of standing charge to reimburse E.ON Next for the money they are losing at the moment.

The estimated costs that E.ON Next have given would suggest you are a very high user of energy; around 7000kWh/yr for electricity and 42000kWh/yr of gas.

Do you live in a mansion house?
I'm ex Igloo, yes the prices have doubled, was paying £50 DD this time last year with them now I've just changed tariff with Eon.Next and paying £99 pm. My total per dual fuel estimated usage is less than your quoted price difference for gas only.
