Halifax debit-card transactions

Just wondered if anyone else is having trouble with declined debit-card transactions today when there are sufficient funds to cover them.

What sort of trouble have you encountered?

There are some reports over on the savings board from people who couldn't make deposits with their Halifax DCs into YBS. 

I made deposits with several different Halifax DCs today with no issue. One of the cards was recently replaced and now requires an OTP. Depending on where you want to use the card, an OTP might involve a pop-up window. Do you have a popup blocker?

All fine here. I did have to use my app to authenticate transactions though, which is a first.

Was having issues yesterday with YBS - for one of my cards I could only put through transactions up to £20 each time, even after being asked for OTP. Deposited £300 into Skipton (same card) without issue, not even a prompt for OTP. Not quite sure what is going on, but I've got my transactions for this month sorted at least.

I made a £500 debit card payment this morning to my credit card. OTP for the first time but no problem.

Could well be based on risk. So moving money to a B/S = low risk. Purchasing from retailers = Higher risk, some more than others. Especially if they have been targeted by fraudsters.
No rime or reason at times how security systems work at times.
