Sharm El Sheikh (VISA ??)

We are traveling to Sharm at the end of this month but looking at the Gov UK site we are struggling to see if we need a Visa, the site starts by saying everyone needs a Visa but further down it say if you are staying just in Sharm and for less that 15 days you get a free stamp for entry.
Next question - does anyone know if you can pay by Mastercard / Visa for the Visa at the Airport if we need one or does in need to be US$

You do not need a visa for S E S ,when we go to Hurgarda they sell them in the airport before you go through passport control ,think they are £20 and they take varios payment methods.

If staying just in the Sharm area then no visa required.
