EDF price fix for £13 extra

EDF just offerred me a 2yr price fix at £138 pm for gas/elec ( Fix Total Service FEB24v5). £13 more than staying variable.
I noticed Martin urging people to take EON's new fixed rate, but has anyone seen advice on taking EDF's fix offer ?

Remember that the direct debit is not the relevant comparison, it's about the unit rates on the tariff and how much energy you use that will constitute exactly how much you pay.

EDF are quoting me stoopid amounts so it depends what unit rate and standing charge they are offering you and your annual consumption....do the calculation and see how it compares to the SVR annual calculation. Monthly DD amount is not important here.

I took this last Thursday. It's a gamble I think as higher than the Eon fix. It was withdrawn on Friday and the fixes now are incredibly high.
