Fixed rate ending

Sorry I did out this on another forum by accident.

Our fixed rate is coming to an end on 31st March 22 and the deal with Scottish Power (who were with) goes up by £250. I have seen a deal with Octopus (100 more than now) but they say on their website to stay where we are due to price cap in April. I'm confused in what to do. Any suggestions please. I'm scared of what will happen

Octopus closed themselves from new customers this morning - they're back to only offering the SVT if you call them and switch that way - but that SVT will be the same as Scottish Power, so there is no benefit to switching at this time really.

Just hope things calm down soon or Scottish Power offer you a good loyalty deal.

Stay with Scottish Power, don't take their "deal" and when your current deal ends you'll move onto their standard variable tariff - the same tariff, for all intents and purposes, as the Octopus variable is.
