Are you max out on a premium bond?

I’m quiet sanguine whether I’ll hit the jackpot or not,
Probably good to stay sanguine as the odds on a single bond winning One Million Pounds in one month are one in 56,000,000,000.
So even if you have the full £50K , the chances are still only around one in a million .

If you want better alternatives, then Atom, Shawbrook and Investec all have easy access accounts paying between 0.71 and 0.75%, Yorkshire are paying 0.82% for sums over £50k and Virgin are 1% up to £25k so I guess it depends on how long you think you'll be sitting on this house money as to whether it's worth splitting over multiple accounts to get a better interest rate than the NS&I currently offer.Thumbs_Up said:I sold my house so I had to park up my cash and Ns&I seems to be the safe bet, I was thinking to transfer over £40k from the PB to the income bond. In January the rate was 0.01% now its 0.50%, hopefully by the end of this month it will be 0.75%. When you have a large sum of money even the smallest % increments are noticeable, so my trigger has been pulled.
I did notice Ford UK was paying 0.75% but was gobbled up quickly like a shark frenzy. I will be keeping my powder dry for now.
