Hi
After some advice. I am booked on a holiday with tui to depart in the summer. I received an email telling us they had changed our flights and we now depart over 8 hours earlier on our return journey meaning that we lose a day of our holiday at the resort. TUI are telling me all i can do is change my airport to see if they have better flights. What can I do?

You could change your airport to see if they have better flights. Or you could look at shifting it to something else, if the terms allow.

I don't think it would count as a significant enough change to be able to cancel your booking.
  • Thanks for the advice i am trying to sort it out now. They have told me if the flights are more expensive i will have to foot the bill which i think is unfair. Do you know where i can find out what they class as a significant change as the change in flights is 9  hours and 10 mins, so instead of a night flight it is a late morning flight?

You need to look at their terms and conditions to find what a significant change is defined as

https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/booking/tandc?ptype=PDP defines it as 12 hours:
Occasionally, we may have to make a major change to your holiday such as a change of destination, a change of accommodation to a lower category, a change in flight time by more than 12 hours or a change of UK departure airport.

If this is a TUI package it is 12 hours
"Occasionally, we may have to make a major change to your holiday such as a change of destination, a change of accommodation to a lower category, a change in flight time by more than 12 hours or a change of UK departure airport. A change in flight time that we need to make within 24 hours before you are due to fly is not a major change unless the time changes by more than 24 hours."
