Morning all, after a frosty start it's a lovely day- I think it's meant to be the best of the week hereabouts. I thought I might have a bus trip to Chorley market, not been for a while and I like seeing the hills and reservoirs on the way!Gers, ooh nice, a new car! Taff can't believe you haven't got yours back yet!Ruby, hope it's a match.DH has ordered some new summer clothes ( not before time!)for the wedding in Greece this year. I tried on the dress I got when it was meant to be last year, not sure I'm that happy with it anymore & a few pounds still need to come off before it'll look right so I'll try it again then and decide I need to get something out for tea before I go out, probably chicken.I hope any poorlies get better soon and you all have a nice day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning, pinch an' a punch for the first of the month, the sun is shining, so perhaps better weather is on its way. Hugs for anyone who needs one. The little daffs , crocus and snowdrops are out in the front garden, we are starting the gardener back this week.
Well yesterday was a quiet but good day. Thank you for all the good wishes, they were appreciiated. We arrived at the cafe just before 3pm to find the table all set up for us and everything was delicious, we had to ask for a doggie bag to bring home what we did not eat. I was even given the roses from the table.
We did not manage the scones so will have them this afternoon with a cup of tea.
Need to settle down and try and sort out stuff I need to take to the retreat we are going on at the end of March, swapping my sewing machine over on the way. No joy with the Janome. guess it may be difficult to sell. I might have to cut my losses and reduce the price, but no way am I going below what my dealer told me I should ask. I will loose my pocket money for a few months till I put the money for the machine back into our savings account. Its our 'emergency fund'. I cannot have more than £5,999 in the account or it affects our benefits.
So this morning I need to go to the PO and fill the car up, fingers crossed they have not had a delivery. I like to keep the car topped up in case of an emergency.

Hello all, I had a disturbed night with lots of dreams. I had one dream that the opposite neighbours house was on fire, could even smell the smoke and it woke me up. Cue me checking out of the window at theirs and then wandering our house too as the smoke smell was so vivid ! Happily it was just a dream/nightmare.
It's a dry day so today we will check over the van, then treat ourselves to coffee in the nearest garden centre, no cake though as Mr Fix It is determined to lose weight and I won't eat it in front of him. We'll have a look at more ironwork too, gates and railings again, we can't seem to make our minds up as to the style 🙄 The builder rang last night to say that he will hopefully be back towards the end of next week weather permitting, to render the wall and fit the capping stones. We will come home via DD's and drop off her meds which were in my bag, then this afternoon I need to debone the now defrosted chicken thighs. I sorted the freezers yesterday and I don't need to buy anymore pork, seems I have about half a pig in there already, oops ! Tea today will be chicken and bacon tortellini with a hm tomato sauce, both from the freezer.
Take care all, stay safe and well. Hugs to all in need.

Morning all and Happy St David's Day to our Welsh chums. I can't believe it's March already.
Weather here today is sunny and mild, no wind. I managed a short walk yesterday and, despite the grey skies, it was fairly mild. Not long after I got back it started to rain so I must have picked the right time. I felt a bit more energised afterwards so got done what needed to be done but I think it was just one of those CBA days - probably a combination of a slothful Sunday followed by a no sunshine day.
Shame about the mushroom tagliatelle coxy but I had to laugh at how you described it. You know what they say about forbidden fruit and all that!
SM delivery is due just after lunchtime and the advance email tells me there is just one sub - veg oil instead of sunflower. I can live with that. It's a small order so shouldn't take long to put away. While I'm doing that there are a couple of things that can come out of the freezer, including a tub of tomato & red pepper soup so I don't have to make any this week. That will make room for some stuffed peppers that I'll do this afternoon. Dinner tonight is YS mince beef & onion pie, mash and the last bit of sweetheart cabbage.
Now that it seems to be getting milder during the day, I've adjusted the heating timer a bit. It's just a few minutes later coming on and a few more going off, but overall it will save about 6 hours a week, so less cost. I wonder if DH will notice? Of late, I feel  I'm in a perpetual state of economising but it's a case of needs must. Of late, I feel  I'm in a perpetual state of economising but it's a case of needs must.
I have a couple of phone calls to make soon, fold/put away dry washing (no ironing), put out rubbish ready for tomorrow's bin day and then I might clean the kitchen wall tiles. Notice, I said "might".
Get well soon wishes are winging their way to any poorlies and hugs for anyone needing one. Have a good day, enjoy whatever you are doing.Be kind to others and to yourself too.13

Well, I schlepped up to Oban and found that the BHF shop had closed down, luckily I had other business up there so the trip wasn't a wash out. There was a letter to post special delivery to Campbeltown, the agent told me that the mail all goes down to Glasgow and then back up to Campbeltown, no local sorting office. All those miles adding to the climate problems. Now I'm back home, going to watch Bargain Hunt before doing anything else, something to shout at the TV about.13 Now I'm back home, going to watch Bargain Hunt before doing anything else, something to shout at the TV about.13

-taff - I cook my pizza dough base for 4 - 5 minutes plain and then for another 10-15 mins with toppings. Do you make yogurt dough?
Deleted_User - your tea looks lovely.
I couldn't find the Nigerian outfit on my expedition into the room of doom but found the bag of Indian clothes I googled for a book and found one with a cover showing an almost identical outfit to what I have so DD is sorted for Thursday. Mr F says that I spoil her - she is 49 years old but as a headteacher she works very hard and I suppose that I have always done these sorts of things.
Wet start here today - stopped now so popping out for shopping - need quite a lot as not been due to Mr F working. His leg is not looking at all good today. Nurse told him to walk and also elevate when sitting. Mr F has a pre assessment phone call tomorrow for the biopsy.
Went for the meal & Alpha course last night - brought Mr F's dinner home with me as he was busy working.
No lunch/Bible study today as the officers are away at a course. There is a pancake party for youngsters late afternoon.

Florence sorry to read that Mr F's leg is still poorly. Hope it gets better asap and good luck to him for his pre assessment.
Yorkslass I'd completely forgotten that it was St David's day until I got to the garden centre and they had all the flags flying, doh !! What sort of Welsh woman am I ? Mind you if pancake day hadn't been mentioned on here this morning I wouldn't have known that either ! I shall be doing pancakes for tomorrow though as Dad will be coming for the day.
Floss thanks for the info about M&S. Luckily we have a local Faceache page with nearby addresses for dropping off items for Ukraine.
