Morning everyone

Still dark,- rain forecast every day this week - it's wet underfoot and has been raining since last night.

DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here.  DS2 settled and happy. 

Dinner last night was fish, rice/roasted veg.  We'll be using up the LO meats from Sunday's roast tonight.  I'm thinking fried mash, cold meats, pork pie  and coleslaw etc.

Yesterday work wasn't too bad, it started off quite quiet but then had periods of time where it was busy.  We'll see what today brings.

Good morning, and thanks for starting NMLC.  Glad work was ok yesterday.

It's a frosty start this morning, but dry.  We had some heavy rain yesterday, quite torrential at times.

I was only out in the afternoon for a hairdo, then dgd came for her tea after school as usual.

This morning I'm visiting a friend nearby, she is disabled, but has an electric wheelchair so whizzes about in that.  Visitors have only recently been allowed again in the complex where she lives, so I haven't seen her for a while

Then it's the quiz tonight, and that's it. I think I'll nip to the shops this afternoon though, I need coffee and flour, and there'll be other things once I start checking.

Morning All

Clear and dry this morning but looks like there's a bit of a frost. Yesterday stayed dry until I got ready for a walk after work then the heavens opened. It went off after about 15 mins so I managed to get to the glass bank and a little wander.

Work was steady, it will be busier today as one of my colleagues' DD has tested positive so she will be off all week now. It seemed that the positive cases were dwindling but a few children off again.

Hope the poorlies are feeling better today, take care. XX

Morning all

Pouring with rain here and set in for the day that means all the clients will be inside the building today and it makes for much more noise !

Beef casserole for dinner tonight its all ready and cooked will just have to heat it through after work, I have done dd a veggi one, but she may be working late if she goes in, her throat had been really sore and we looked last night and it looks infected as if she has tonsilitis so depends on how she feels when she gets up, if she  doesnt want it I can freeze it.

Heard from my new job yesterday they have a referals meeting tomorrow so I should get an update after that, it doesnt necessarily mean I have a match, but I might do so we will wait and see.

Going to make cheese scones today at work, the clients love them and we get through a lot of them.

Morning all, thanks for the start @nmlc

Wet start here and due to get worse throughout the day. DSis is coming up late morning and we are going out to lunch – I have told her to bring her brolly. Am owed a couple of hours at work, so I’ve blocked my diary.

Hope @Deleted_User and her DB enjoyed the cream tea for their anniversary

The world situation is getting worse by the hour and I’m wondering what I can do to help. Will reach out to local church friends and neighbours today to see if there’s anything local I can get involved with. Watching the news I just want to gather up a family and bring them here – we have two spare bedrooms and could easily accommodate and provide a safe place. @Bella – there are many like your DS who are wanting to go and fight – what a worry for you.

Think there is just the two of us for dinner tonight so will need to have a rummage and find something suitable. The mushroom tagliatelle was not good – a slimming recipe – probably designed so you barely eat it!

Got all of DHs camping clothing dry on the line yesterday. Will wash DS2s work uniform today but that will need to go inside on the airer.

Pancake day today. I always regret making them as they are such a faff but I know I will anyway! Lemon and sugar on one and bananas and maple syrup on another. 

No plans out of the ordinary today just the usual kitchen tidy (ready to wreck with pancakes) calls and of course a bin run

Morning folks. 

After another miserable day today looks promising. The sunset last night was stunning though it was far too cold to sit out to watch it. A friend called round for a good old natter, I really enjoyed it. Apart from that visit the highlight of the day was the postie bringing me a belated birthday parcel from an ex-colleague - lovely bird feeder box. 

The sun is shining through the cold air so I'll be going out for a bit, probably up to Oban as I've got a load old things to the BHF shop. I support them as DM died from heart problems. The car has to be emptied as my new one has arrived in the UK 😁 I've told the dealer that I'll be away until next Wednesday so he'll look after it until then. 

Scarlet - have a good time with your friend, it'll be so lovely to see her again. 

Ruby - my fingers are firmly crossed for you.

Morning all.  I think I've finally cracked pizza dough, took three goes but the best one is leave it overnight in the fridge and cook twice. Once with just the tomato sauce on it, then add the toppings and cook again. Lovely fluffy dough and unburnt toppings seeing as my oven won't do wood oven temperatures. Also made a banana loaf since the oven was on. AndI'm thinking scones later on but have to think of something for supper. We have sausages and potatoes so sausage and mash might be on the menu. And I might even get my car back today...Don't I say that every week?

Look after yourselves today, there were a lot of headaches this weekend, hope they've all gone now and the clumsy have repaired themselves...hugs to the ones that want them and the ones that don't, it's ok, they're virtual ones, no contact needed

Good morning everyone
Frosty here with lovely bright sunshine.
Coxy -  DD was telling me last night that a Polish lady in our town is organising a lorry full of donations to go to the Ukraine/ Poland border. There's a big list of things they need. I've sorted out some deodorants, pads, dressings and paracetamol and DD will get me some nappies and wipes to donate as well.
I would think a lot of towns will be doing the same.
Well I went back to work yesterday lunchtime  - the children were so happy to see me - it was lovely - lots of excitement and cuddles ( I did think - hope no ones got any germs!)
One little girl - said 'I thought I was never going to see you again!'
But I wasn't prepared for how shattered I was going to feel - I was home by quarter past 3, made a cuppa and just lay on my bed - I was exhausted and my head was so sore. I was in bed and asleep by just after 9. Will see how I get on this afternoon.
I always made pancakes on Shrove Tuesday when the girls were at home, But don't bother just for myself. I occasionally do make them if little one is here but not often - she's quite happy with coco pops! When eldest DD is home she usually makes them for me - I far prefer them if I don't have to cook them!
Well I'm going to clean the bathroom so I can get the towels washed and out in the sunshine and that will be all my activity before I have to go to work.
