It's only designed to fit on the edge of a flat roof, though.  And only then if that makes it point into the prevailing wind.  It can't spin around to face the wind.
Sure. Not suggesting it's anything for regular roofs, and the video even say it's for flat roofs. I posted it here mostly because it's interesting
Thank you, I found it interesting and recall seeing stuff like this in the USA as we drive up and down to places there and often thought WTH was that.
    Thanks
Pretty sure Jay Leno had a few interesting things like that on his garage.
Ok, next time I watch I will know what they are or if we go to the usa again.
I used to think it was some type of American chimney for a fire or an extractor.

  • Had a quick look, seems very expensive. Maybe because they are the only company doing this.
That "23%" that investors get should be 50%.

I invested in some new wind turbines and it was depressing to see the local council charge business rates on each one (almost 10% revenue). Think there was 15% corporation tax too.

You can do that now with ripple.
The fact is if we committed to that large scale infrastructure someone else would benefit and we would still have high prices.
In principle i agree with you but in practice we would not benefit.
Also, when exporting to the grid, even you as an individual want the absolute best rate that you can get

Part of why solar and wind also went up in price, is because the wind and solar exported into the grid is also being paid for at a higher rate. Still, it's not a huge amount but it does !!!!!! to costs
