Pretty sure Jay Leno had a few interesting things like that on his garage.diystarter7 said:
Thank you, I found it interesting and recall seeing stuff like this in the USA as we drive up and down to places there and often thought WTH was that.waqasahmed said:
Sure. Not suggesting it's anything for regular roofs, and the video even say it's for flat roofs. I posted it here mostly because it's interestingEctophile said:waqasahmed said:
It's only designed to fit on the edge of a flat roof, though. And only then if that makes it point into the prevailing wind. It can't spin around to face the wind.
Thanks
I used to think it was some type of American chimney for a fire or an extractor.

Had a quick look, seems very expensive. Maybe because they are the only company doing this.
That "23%" that investors get should be 50%.
I invested in some new wind turbines and it was depressing to see the local council charge business rates on each one (almost 10% revenue). Think there was 15% corporation tax too.1 -
As i said, someone will always take all the benefit and leave us with the same bill.0

Also, when exporting to the grid, even you as an individual want the absolute best rate that you can getKrakkkers said:You can do that now with ripple.
The fact is if we committed to that large scale infrastructure someone else would benefit and we would still have high prices.
In principle i agree with you but in practice we would not benefit.
Part of why solar and wind also went up in price, is because the wind and solar exported into the grid is also being paid for at a higher rate. Still, it's not a huge amount but it does !!!!!! to costs0
