How to get money back from old energy supplier

Hello All, Does anyone have any tips on how and when I will get my credit back from my energy suppliers. It has not gone to my account and not gone to my new supplier. Ofgem appear to offer no assistance. Surely there must be a system in place to get people their credit back from suppliers sooner rather than later.

Patience is the name of the game - which supplier were you with when it went bust?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

Which supplier? There is no mechanism to force the administrators to deal with producing the final bills and the balances as a priority though, so it can easily take 4-6 months to get the details over to the SoLR.1

Symbio & Zog0

Suffolknproud said:Symbio & ZogYour Symbio balance will be transferred to E.ON Next, and the Zog balance will go to EDF.Even if you are not still using those suppliers for your energy, your balance will still go there.Could still be a few weeks before it happens though...

As Administration can take a considerable time. With the volumes involved it is unfortunately a case of later rather than sooner. Someone has to be last to be dealt with.1

Who are you currently with ? E.On Next and EDF or someone else ?If you are still with the SoLRs then E.On Next paid Symbio credits into accounts in December, Zog - EDF, still waiting. If you had moved away then it could be up to a year to receive payment.1
