"B4C Tokenisation" on Barclaycard

Just noticed a zero-value pending transaction to "B4C Tokenisation" dated today on my Barclaycard. I have not used my card at all today; it's been in my wallet in my pocket all day.
Thanks to Google, I know what "Tokenisation" means, but the only references to "B4C" I can find seem to be related to Bitcoin - something I have never, ever, ever had anything to do with, and am not planning to.
Should I be worried?

Should I be worried?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

I don't think the timing is all that crucial but I wonder if you or Screwfix have been hacked. or whatever other online shopping you did in the previous weeks. I haven't heard anything about Barclays being hacked but one never knows.
If nothing else funny is going on then I would simply keep an eye (daily?) on the card transactions - hopefully there will be nothing happening.

If you not sure, then ring card provider. They will be able to give more information

https://usa.visa.com/visa-everywhere/security/tokenization-explained.htmlI understand the tokenisation concept (although I'm not clear on exactly how it improves security - surely the generated token becomes equally as sensitive as the card number it is trying to protect?) . What I don't understand is why I have a tokenisation transaction on my card when I have not used the card anywhere I haven't used it numerous times before, and certainly haven't enrolled it in any digital payment service. I can only assume someone is trying to enrol my card for something (apparently Bitcoin related) without my consent.I check my transactions at least once a day, so I will immediately spot any fraudulent activity, but I would rather not get to that stage. Barclaycard will not let me query a "pending" transaction, even though it is patently one I had absolutely nothing to do with. I have to wait for the fraud to happen before they will investigate.

If you don't recognise a transaction, then that is the 1st point of call. They can then advise you what it relates to & if it makes any sense. If not then get the card stopped before anymore transactions come through.
But just as easy it could relate to say GPay or Apple pay. Where they will check the cards from time to time.Life in the slow lane0 -
I've come across the same item on my statement. The only thing I've done is try to activate the Barclaycard app on my phone - but I didn't complete it.I'll keep an eye on my account.0

I have just had a text and then call from my CC fraud team advising that they had declined a tokenisation transaction from B4C. The person I spoke to suggested that B4C are related to Churchill insurance. We have insurance with Churchill but it is not due for a while.I am now wondering whether it was just them trying to update our card details like has been suggested for Apple pay etc.0
