How do I dematerialised a share save scheme certificate to electronic form?

Hello,
I was issued a shares certificate (6 years ago). After completing a share save scheme with a previous company I worked for. I would like to change the certificate to a digital format ( Not sure of the correct terminology ). Plus I was thinking it would be more straight forward to sell them via digital format ( no plans to sale as of yet)
I have looked into it a little, but Cleary advice is needed
.
The shares are with Morgan Advanced Materials , the cert has Capita indicated on the header. I can see and have viewed the shares on Equinity shareview.
What kind of account would I need and with who? In regards to costs, and who maybe would be the best option. I am not looking to do anything other than hold the shares online, until I sell them.
What hold has Equinity in regards to my shares. Do they need informing or will costs be due to Equinity?
I see something about a Crest form, but really I'm not sure about this, any advice would be welcome.
Apologies for my naïve questions.
Regards

Hi,have a look HERE, recommended regularly here, cheap and easy to use.0

Equiniti has been the share registrar for MGAM since 2019If you have a share certificate and lodge it with XO or similar, there's no need to inform Equiniti and no need to pay them anything.0

That should of been Equiniti. Predicative text changed it to Equinity, missed that.
Thanks for the info folks I will take a look.0
