It's a Garmin 50 LM. No voice, no beeps, no bongs. It's not on mute, volume is set to max, I've tried changing language - nothing.
Any ideas please?

Device reset (Hold the power key for 12 seconds) ? Can you connect it to a bluetooth speaker (or your car's audio) to see if it is generating audio output? If yes then speaker is probably kaput.
