Switch to Shell?

Hi all, just wanted to validate my thinking. I manage my mother's energy bills. She is with Shell Energy. My personal energy is with Eon.
We are both on the standard price cap tariff.
Shell Energy are offering a referral bonus of £50 each to anyone you refer.
If I use my mother's Shell Energy referral link to transfer from Eon to Shell Energy we can both get the £50 and I wouldn't be worse off because I would just move to the standard price cap tariff anyway? Am I missing something or a fairly easy way to get £50 each apart from the hassle of switching over?

The usual "gotcha" is that you can only switch onto an expensive fixed-rate tariff, but Shell don't have any fixes so you shouldn't get caught by that.
Shell might refuse to accept your switch, but you won't know unless you try!
