Why are nearly all the available desktops second-hand? Have they gone out of fashion in favour of laptops? I'm not sure about buying 2nd hand, also quite a few are listed as no return.0

I have used the HP corporate desktops at work, and recommended them to friends as cheap second hand devices for years. They are very well built and offer a significant saving versus buying new. Obviously your choice at the end of the day, but allows you to save a significant amount.peter021072 said:Why are nearly all the available desktops second-hand? I think the pandemic went some way to killing of desktops in the corporate environment. My company issued laptops to the majority of the staff at the start and ditched the desktops.peter021072 said:Why are nearly all the available desktops second-hand? VGA ports are very old fashioned now, even many desktop PCs don’t bother with them and use DVI/HDMI.
It may be worth considering a new monitor? They’re really not that expensive now, sub £100.1 -
