Morning, hugs if you need one.
Day of rest for us, its our wedding anniversay, we have booked to go to our favourite cafe for a cream tea. Cleaner is due this morning. We still do not have any floor covering in the toilet. Afraid I am getting just a bit fed up. THis has been going on since last September. I wish now I had just gone ahead and replaced it myself. However the surveyor was quite clear the flooring had been taken up by a council workman to sort out the toilet issues, therefore it was up to them to replace it.
Yesterday DB was out in the greenhouse. I managed to turn the sewing room round so that the big table is now under the window and the smaller one has my cutting mat on it, I had to have several rests, but did manage. It looks a lot better now. My Janome machine is getting packed into a bag today so its off the cutting table. No sniffs yet.
No supper tonight, possibly crackers and cheese for a late supper, will see hoe we feel.

Morning all chilly but sunny hopefully spring is on the way bit of a nightmare weekend Ds is adamant he needs to go to Ukraine he is ex military and is a shooting instructor with a shooting club in Poland so obviously very in touch with what's going on we have persuaded him to stay in the UK until we return from holiday as we are too far away if there is an issue to deal with and its not fair to his sisters to have to deal with it . We obviously dont want him to go but understand why he does .
Right need to turn my mind to other things so will be tidying up before the new roof windows come tomorrow
Csarina I feel your pain it feels like it will never be sorted. Happy Anniversary x

Gers enjoy the packing not long now x

Morning all, it's damp underfoot, not that I've been out, but the patio looks wet. We're due heavy rain later but at least it's warmer and I haven't needed to put the heating on this morning, first time I've been warm since I returned home.
The washing etc was all sorted yesterday but there are now a few items in the ironing pile, dash it ! No matter they can wait till I'm in the mood to do it or the basket is full 😁. I was in the wars yesterday too, my unerupted wisdom tooth was giving me some gyp, I wish it would hurry up and come through, then I messed up cooking the rice, how can you do that ? first time for everything I suppose. Then I banged my head on the corner of a cupboard and saw stars, something I've never done before and don't wish to do again🤕 !! I'm hoping for a better day today with no mishaps 😣.
I didn't get round to sorting and listing the freezer stuff so that's the major task for today. I need to find some chicken thighs in the chest one to defrost, ready for deboning tomorrow. The dw will need emptying in a bit and a few small things need to be addressed, the bins need to go out too then the day is all mine. Mr Fix It has commandeered the spare bedroom/craft room as he's making another stable for DGD's horses, which seem to be multiplying at a rate of knots. He's done the main woodwork in his shed and now he's able to come indoors, so I expect I'll be doing the coffee run and lending a hand somewhere along the way ☕.
Good luck to those who are back at work today, I hope it goes well. Gentle hugs to everyone suffering with headaches lately.
Csarina happy anniversary 🍾🥂 Hope you enjoy your cream tea.
Bella I hope your DS listens to you and stays put. 🧡 It must be such a worry for you 🧡
Take care all

Happy Anniversary CsarinaWhat a huge worry for you Bella
this is such a dilemma for the family and your DS, I hope for the best.
Nan - what are you doing to yourself? It all sounds so painful!I'm in a wee cloud of happiness as I found an atomiser online which I can fill from my perfume spray bottle. The bottle is too big for travelling with so now I'll be able to decant some, the atomiser's bottom fits onto the nozzle of the bottle (with the sprayer removed) so it seems easy to do. The online instruction video even had my brand of perfume bottle as the demo. I know, little things etc but I'll take that any day.Now I'm wracking my brains to remember whose daughter had fasciitis - perhaps JackieO?12 -
Morning all. It was chilly overnight and it's back to normal today with grey skies but no wind. It's looking damp outside too.
I'm finding it hard to get going this morning so I'm not sure that yesterday's day of slothfulness did me any good! Not that I have anything in particular to tackle so I'll just see how it goes. One of the good points about being retired, I suppose. I might go out for a walk before lunch and see if that helps to get the energy flowing a bit.
Plenty of beef left over from yesterday so I'll be slicing that and freezing it in gravy but will keep some back for tonight's dinner with chips and maybe a stuffed pepper.
Mr Postman has been and delivered our annual pension notification letters. I haven't worked out yet how much it has gone up (brain still asleep) but I get the feeling that, whatever it is, it's going to have to stretch even further this year.I’ve seen the Easter chicks before Florenceem but not the lambs, that will be something different for your stall and so cute.
I hope work goes well today for you, nmlc and RedRuby.
Have fun with your bubble wrapping, Gers.
Oh dear, Coxy - that’s a pain with the bank card, I bet you were panicking! I’m not surprised you had a headache.
Happy Anniversary, csarina, enjoy the cream tea.
Best wishes bella, you must be so worried about what your son wants to do.
Sounds like yesterday was one of “those days”, nanny. Wisdom teeth can be a real nuisance (why do we have them), I’m glad mine have been and gone.
Right, I must show willing and at least look as if I'm being productive! Happy Monday all, hugs where they are needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.13 -
Good morning from a very sunny seaside.
Hugs to all who need them.
Such a worrying time in the world - we can only pray that Putin pulls back. As a Christian I believe the Devil is in his heart.
Mr F is okay - the antibiotics seem to be working but his leg is still huge from swelling and very red but not hot.
I have a day mostly at home until 5.45 when I will go to the SA.
I need to venture into the room of doom - my craft storage room to look for a costume for my DD to wear for book day.
I will pop some more mugs of chocolates down to my hairdresser as they kindly let me display makes there and look after the money from sales.
I have text the lady who wants 14 bunny packs of sweets and she is not desperate as they are for her Grandchildren for Easter. I have lots of wips that I want to get finished and off my craft table.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning all. Just spent a good hour going through every news report on a newspaper website. Where I live has a Polish church that were taking donations over the weekend to take to Ukraine, they were overwhelmed with donations, I'm so proud of people and also so disappointed in the ones causing this. I expect both the best and the worst will be seen again and again. What a worry for you Bella. For everyone else directly involved too. I'm beginning to feel guilty about feeling safe [ish, who knows what that idiot will do]Gers, your Branston reminded me of when I went to Germany with a band, I met a young man there who waxed lyrical about British fish and chips, he loved malt vinegar and couldn't get hold of any, so I sent him two bottles of it. the postage cost more than the vinegar
I think he was happy though...W also sent tinned beans to another couple we met who loved them. I've been watching Further Back in Time for Dinner. How very odd to discover that people used to go for a 'German' as we would an Indian or a Chinese before the war. I think maybe someone should restore this gastronomic option. I'd go.
Nowt planned for today but tomorrow I have to get up early to do a bit of volunteering with a friend who runs art classes for people with issues. Should be interesting, I've been given a list of who to talk to, what not to say to certain people and what not to do for certain people and the pleasure (?) of being pysychoanalysed on the hop by two other people working there. Should be a weird and interesting day.Nanny, hope you docs are on the ball for you sooner rather than later. Sounds like you need an intervention for your kitchen equipment. Thaks for the hugscsarina, Happy Anniversay! enjoy the cream tea..Ruby, hugs for your mum. And hope your new job comes quicker! snoozer, it's a very gentle watch isn't it? I keep forgetting I have that and have watched thre of them. Shows a different side to most Italian cookery programmes. Take care of yourselves .....

Bella, what a worry for you.
I have just got up for the second time, I can't keep my eyes open, I think it's sinusitis.
Happy anniversay Csarina, enjoy your tea.
