As he has a rep you really should be discussing all this with the rep.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

She did write on the letter in to the appeals reasons why she thought it was wrong that he wasn’t awarded PIP ….and that he wanted to appeal the mandatory reconsideration that he was turned down for ……..is that the submission letter ?
Possibly.
After an unchanged MR, a SSCS1 is sent to the tribunal service (TS) lodging the appeal and giving brief grounds for the appeal.
The next stage is receipt of the DWP evidence bundle (some 100 plus pages - containing the original PIP form, the assessment, reasons for the DWP decision, the MR and SSCS1, and previous PIP award details (if any)). If your rep was listed on the SSCS1 form, they will get a copy. This is the point when the involvement of the rep becomes important.
They should go through those 100 plus pages, and with your son write a submission to the tribunal explaining why PIP should be awarded, which PIP activities and descriptors apply and why. A submission will be brief (2/3/4 pages), but will refer back to the DWP papers, examples discussed with your son, and may reference relevant case law for the tribunal panel.
Your son should be sent a copy of this submission by the rep, and in any case would receive a copy from the TS
Before the appeal hearing, the tribunal panel will go through the paperwork (including your reps submission), and will use this to determine the questions they intend to ask your son.
This is why a submission is so important, your son needs to be happy about expanding on its information and fully explaining more around the PIP activities / descriptors that his rep has said he should be awarded.
If your son has a copy of his submission written by the rep, then he will know what the tribunal panel are likely to ask him about. He can have more examples, and possibly a diary of events prepared. (But note that the panel will be looking at his conditions / abilities at the time of the DWP decision, not at the tribunal hearing date).

If your son agrees, you may jointly wish to write a form of authority, enabling the rep to speak to you directly about your son's case.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1 -
