I am wanting to take an issue I have to the small claims court (faultycar) I have been back to the place of purchase and sent a letter telling them of my intention to take it further I believe I have to do these things before I can go any further can anyone tell me the next steps to take please I am in England many thanks

Before you start spending money on a court case, be aware that you do have specific rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 - see below -

Suppliers of goods have to ensure that they are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they aren't they are breaking the terms of this Act and you should tell them so.

Many thanks for your reply can you tell me what I need to do next as I've already been back to place of purchase and sent a written letter of complaint with no joy I feel my only other option is to go through the small claims court
