Wondering weather to buy a Range Rover Evoque

To the Op, in the past I like changing my cars every 3 years after 60K miles. However now doing less business miles so happy to keep current 4 year old car.
Have also bought and sold property in Scotland. If your buying in a desirable area; you might be paying 20% more than then asking price. This you have to finance yourself. Have you bought in Scotland before?
i would keep the BMW 3 series for 2 more years. Focus on the house purchase; and save your money for the car .

We have a 2.5 year old Evoque, it's had 2 issues since purchase. A sensor failed (£30 sensor would have cost £500 to diagnose/ replace) and the media unit failed (big cost, luckily under warranty..). But it's a great car. We would have another.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -
Keep current car until house sorted then buy something sensible Like a Skoda Kamiq, Karoq or Octavia Estate (or similar in other marques) then buy gold with the rest just in case the pesky Russians come over the horizon.1

The Evoque, IMO, is one of worst looking cars in the road. Big, bulky and looks like it has been sat on from the outside, quite cramped, for the amount of road it uses, on the inside. Plus low reliability and high running costs.
When you consider an ideal car would be small on the outside, spacious inside, high reliability and low running costs, you might think the designer had his spec. sheet upside down.
Also, house first, car after.5 -
I think this thread is probably a wind up.0

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.1 -

With the cost of living increase coming I don't know if its right to buy such a big purchase and spend a lot of money on a car which we don't really need, I've looked at similar cars and they are all around the same price for the standard that we would like.
Am I worrying too much about this? Is anyone else putting on a big purchase similar or are people just getting on with life?
Which is more important to you - securing the house you want to live in (probably for a long time), or driving round in a slightly more flashy car for a few years?0
