Premier Parking Solutions BW Legal and County Court hearing

Just a final update (and Coupon-Mad is just my favourite person!!!), this case was scheduled to go to County Court for the final hearing but BW Legal on behalf of Premier Parking Solutions withdrew their claim a couple of weeks before the case was supposed to be heard. I now need to write to them claiming my costs (which will include the fee I had to pay to the Northampton court when I didn't receive the paperwork) plus costs of my time (I'm now retired and not doing the sort of management consultancy I once did, so no idea how to calculate the opportunity costs of my wasted time), plus all the paperwork of course (I'm going to use the figures they used of their legal assistant's work on the case). If anyone has any recommendations about how much I should claim I'd be very grateful. I would also like to ask for punitive damages (do these things exist in this sort of case, as I would dearly like to do my bit to try to put these companies out of business)3

Nicely done!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
You won't get punitive damages, so just work out your fixed fee costs plus an hourly rate. They won't actually pay it though, you have to ask the court and that would involve a costs hearing.
Have to say it is unlikely for any costs to be awarded (sorry) but if you used our template defence, it does pave the way for that 'in the event of a discontinuance' so it's worth a try! Example of how it was done successfully is in the NEWBIES thread already, a link to a thread by @bluetoffee1878
Hope you are primed and ready to join us in the new year for the upcoming final PUBLIC CONSULTATION about the level of private parking charges and the banning of the purported DRA fees?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
