I was with people's energy last year paying about 115 /month dual fuel. Got moved to British gas who just whacked up my monthly dd from 180 to 282. I've had an offer from Scottish Power for a 2 year fixed deal for 247. What do you guys think?

    If you are happy with the unit prices and standing charge then go for it, but keep in mind that it is not a 'fixed deal for £247', it is a deal with fixed kWh and standing charge rates which will cost you £247 based on estimates of your usage, so if you use more you will still pay more.
