Increased from 25.093p to 48.27p from 1st April - Is this an April Fools joke letter?  Cannot even cut down on the electric with that!!!!

Then switch supplier with a lower standing charge if you can find one.

Harsh comment I know, but what is the alternative, they are not doing anything outside of the capped limits.

All suppliers will have a big increase in the electricity standing charge from April, as determined by the change to the price cap.

18.6p of the increase is in relation to companies going bust and a SoLR taking them on OFGEM have to get the money back from somewhere and it's us that is tasked with paying them via the standing charge. Expect another 11p per day to be put on the SC in October meaning that in some areas the electric and gas SC will be over 90p per day if not £1 per day.
