Jet2 doesn't refund Air Passenger Duty?

Had to cancel flight and when I've done so before the airline was clear about refunding Air Passenger Duty to me but Jet 2 don't and their cancellation invoice says they are a non-refundable airline. Has the law changed or do they still have to refund it and if so how to go about it?

I had a similar issue with Ryanair 18 months ago. I couldn’t work out how to navigate round to get it. Hopefully you will have more success.0

Jet2 charge a £25 administrative fee per BOOKING so the fee may exceed the APD being claimed.

they refund APD but are allowed to charge a fee for processing....with both Jet2 and Ryanair the fee will usually be more than the APD

"apply in writing to us for a refund of Air Passenger Duty (APD) if a fare has not been used. However, in all cases, we charge an administration fee of £25 for each booking that needs an APD refund."
Ryanair similar....https://help.ryanair.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360017824978-Refund-Policy

Jesus, what a disgrace, £25 to administer a £13 APD refund. Easyjet paid me APD without me having to ask for it when I cancelled their flight.....
