Also had an email today from £105.00 to £178.57.
But it's variable, need to find a fixed tariff ASAP.0 -

Very sneaky :-( I will be moving unless others have decided to do the same.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I too have received a letter from Bulb - strangely dated 21st June 2021 - but mine just tells me they project I'll spend about £1 extra on fuel per week. I can only assume that although they give prices before and after June this year, they're only projecting until October, when things may (hopefully) change again.0

My advice is that you perform your own calculations using the new daily rate, and the new unit rates, based on your actual consumption for the last 12 months. Work out what that will cost, subtract any credit balance (or add any debit balance), divide by 12 and offer to pay Bulb that each month. Anyone who thinks they will find a fixed rate lower than the OFGEM cap is in cloud cuckoo land.

Such a big jump, hope I can find a cheaper provider/tariff.Going off what I've seen of other people's rates, Bulb is still the cheapest I've seen. Now if only our government gave a sh*t about the rest of us.0

Another reminder, you don't have to pay by fixed rate DD if you don't want to. I am with bulb and pay only for what I use each month, still by DD but without them using me as a cash advance service0

prudent_2 said:Ours is set to double. What I don't understand - and apologies if this has been covered - is if 100% of their elec is from renewable sources, why does the cost of wholesale gas matter? Surely that'd just impact the gas price?1

I got the same email although mine only outlined the unit & standing charge increases ie not monthly payment increase. Looking at the app I pay £150pm currently and it now recommends £213.0
