Im looking to go to France skiing, and one of the party has a valid NHS Covid recovery pass
the rules on all the french sites are not clear for Covid recovery cert.s - does anyone here know:
- Can they assume exact same status as fully vaccinated?
- will the NHS app allow access to all restaurants and ski lifts as per the full vaccinated? or does the NHS pass need converting to a french version ( Ive heard stories of this req.)
- do they still need a valid reason to travel?
any recent experience or knowledge gratefully received.
( the french consulate and various websites are not helpful)

Are they fully vaccinated?0

I would not risk it. Even if the rules were clear and did grant fully vaccinated status, you are sure to have problems."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

often the recovery certificate can be used in place of a negative test but not aware of it being treated as being vaccinated when not
I would expect him to be treated as unvaccinated (as he is) and refused travel unless compelling reason and negative test
Maybe he needs to delay his plans to visit until France allow unvaccinated tourists

You may be confusing the rules to enter the country and the requirements for the the “pass vaccinal” (vaccine pass) which is required to access services and venues (restaurants etc)
These are 2 separate rules
To enter France from U.K. - Unvaccinated people are required to have a compelling reason to travel ( tourism is not one of them) .
You cannot use a covid recovery certificate instead of vaccination proof to enter France .
Unvacinnated French residents can use a covid recovery certificate to get a pass vaccinal” (vaccine pass) to enter venues and access services.2 -
Looks like they can't enter France unless vaccinated.0

I don't think skiing is one of the compelling reasons an unvaccinated person can use to enter France though?
Entry requirements - France travel advice - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)Therefore for a skiing trip, they can’t enter France unless vaccinated.0 -

( the very fact a reason to go isn't negated by the recovery cert. is enough of a stumbling block to stop the trip plan - until France ease up on requirements at least )
Many thanks for this info - much appreciated.1
